You may see it on labels and restaurant menus from time to time…”Old World” and “New World” but never quite knew what it meant. It’s fairly simple once you get down the basics of each and it can help you better select your wine.
Old World wines are from Europe, but that’s not all there is to it. Wines from Europe can also be New World depending on a variety of characteristics. Here’s a few quick tips on how to identify the two styles. Cheers!
Join us on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2013! We’ll also be celebrating our 4th Anniversary!
What’s in store for the evening? Well we can’t tell you…we have to uphold our improvisational style. But we can tell you we will feature coursed “Best Of 2012” and vegan tasting menus ranging from 5 courses to a full tasting.
The “Best Of 2012” menu will be a surprise to be revealed upon arrival. To give you an idea of the vegan menu, in the past, offerings have included sweet potato “lasagna” with sage and butternut squash, crostini with white beans and caramelized onion confit, vegan ramen with mushrooms and tofu, “cheese” assortments, and a vegan Snickers bar.
Posh will maintain regular menu pricing for the evening, with 5 courses starting at $60.
